5 Questions With Christine Watson
Christine Watson, Director and Senior Occupational Therapist at Wide Bay Therapy, shares her experience in starting a business locally and where you’ll find her in her spare time.
How long have you lived in Gympie?
Since 2017, so almost 10 years.
Where would we find you in your spare time?
Recently, I’ve been doing a home renovation, so that’s where you would have been finding me. In our spare time, we have a caravan and we like to travel and experience Australia.
Name some other local businesses you love.
There are lots when it comes to food. There’s Hatch Specialty Coffee, they’re long-time faves, and I’ve been really loving Surface Hill lately. I have a fantastic hairdresser, which is TJB. Tully is a gem – she’s super passionate about getting like-minded business people together in Gympie, which is great.
What’s a hidden gem in the area you think more people should know about?
It’s not hidden, but Rainbow Beach is always just such a lovely day out when the weather and the waves are right. I also love going to the Pomona Markets on a Saturday morning. That’s always lovely too. So they’re my favourite things to do.
How would you describe Gympie?
Progressive. Country vibes. Proud.
